I'm good for the whole 7 nights now.

Unless there are some uncommitted lurkers, I believe Giblets (great news!) brings our merry band of hanging paddlers up to nine.

Thanks Keg for making the booking. Can you share the reservation # via PM? If I get there early, I might just check in, explore Kioshkokwi & get a head start catching some supper.

Though we may want to change the last night depending on how much of a rush people are to get out on the 8th. Cauchon to the parking lot is about 4.5 h according to Jeff's maps.[/QUOTE]
Yeah, maybe stay last day on Mink to cut some paddle time and 440M of portage. I've still got about a 6hr drive from the lot.
Also anyone have a good address or destination that my GPS will accept. It's finicky
I plan on being there as soon as the permit office is open.

I'm going to set mine for Algonquin North Outfitters (16 ON-630, Mattawa, ON P0H 1V0) at Hwy's 17 & 630. It's where we turn of the main roads to head into the park.

Hmm.. looks like FRPP has removed the "Closed-until further notice" from their website, now it just notes the fire ban.

I've sent permit details to the people who confirmed. If I missed you let me know.

Guess this means I could put my tent back in storage.

    Here's my new rideboats_nt_15_p.jpgGrace.jpgIMG_0358.JPG
Love the boat. Hornbeck makes great boats and they where all great to work with at every stage from testing, recommendations, getting me set up with the right canoe.

Now on to the twist! I leave my folks place this morning and I notice I don't have my neon streamer I liked to use on my kayaks. So I decide to drive till just before the Thru-Way and then put it on. I pull in to the parking lot and the brake pedal goes straight to the floor. Noooooo! I blew a brake line. If that had happened 5 minutes later I might not have made this trip.Jeez. Called AAA and got it towed back home. It's at Monroe and hopefully they can fix it today. I knew I should have gotten a new car before this trip.
So we'll see what's up with the car. I should be make it as planned just not sure what I'll be driving. Keep you posted.

A tale of two rides; one sweet and one a little bitter. Hope everything works out without too much trouble.
