"...in Florida, she felt air conditioning for the first time, and it was cold and unnatural upon her skin."
I’ve seen some people on this forum interested in a hammock that can be used as a bivy. Seems perfect for them.
For me? Not so much. The idea of camping in Florida in a hammock that isn’t made of a breathable fabric terrifies me.
Cool concept though.

I like the concept and simplicity of the design. Reminds me of the Clark Mark 2. That said, I've never understood any raincover that allows rain to enter the shelter when opened to get in or out. Probably not a huge deal in most circumstances but I've been in so many situations where by the time it took me to get off my boots and rain gear to get into the hammock, my sleeping insulation would be soaked or at the very least I'd be trying to dry the bottom of this nonbreathable fabric.

Clark Jungle Hammock's lawyers are already working on their lawsuit for patent infringement!
I do wonder how people can market a waterproof hammock - did their "two years" of product development not reveal any research on condensation? Did their "two years" of product development not reveal that The Alpine Hammock already got sued by Clark for product infringement for the spreader bar thingie?
Voivalin is going to jump all over this product! The Flying Tent is REAL! I'll bet Voivalin is going to do a Flying Tent Rolling Review. This is The Alpine Hammock all over again.

So then why wasn’t REI sued by Clark for their flash hammock? Does it come down to the over-head spreader being structural? Maybe on REI’s flash all it does it support the net? I don’t know I’m spitballing here.

Just guessing here too, but REI might be a bit harder to sue than somebody doing a Kickstarter. REI is probably a wee bit bigger than Clark!
Plus, Clark's patent is for two spreader bars, while the REI flash only has one. That may not be sufficient grounds for Clark to sue.

It looks awfully short...
Very interesting
