    OES on Ebay

I was surfing ebay a few minutes ago and found an OES MacCat Deluxe up for bid. There are about 4 days on the auction if anyone is interested. Good luck and happy bidding.

Interesting to me that this is considered "other sleeping gear" on ebay...

It pays to surf sections that you normally would not search. I've found some great deals because of misspellings and such.

I found it in a search for silnylon. I wound up bidding on it, but kinda hope I get outbid. My current high bid is $75.01, if anyone wants to outbid me, I'm not going any farther with it.

That's how I ended up with my sewing machine. After I bid on it, everyone else just disappeared... makes you wonder if the other bids were for real. I'm very happy with it though.

So, even though you don't really want the goods, you just had to go and raise the price for those who do.

The description makes me wonder...it says the tarp is only 2 months old, and that a hammock is also being sold in another auction. Sounds kind of like someone didn't like their hammocking experience. Too bad, that.

What do you all think would be a "fair" price for this tarp?

Considering how well that the OES tarps are made, the original asking price is quite fair. If the one being auctioned has really only been used 4 times, then bidding up to the OEM price isn't out of the question, likely. And, this one can be gotten much sooner than you can get one from OES.

Seems like a good thing for anyone who's in the market for a tarp.

Does anyone know what the cost of that tarp was new? I went to the OES website and it appears that there is a "Generation III" version now. Don't know if they are the same prices as the "older" ones...or if they are the same.

Pretty sure the Deluxe models were $115.
