Brilliant idea dkurfiss, to elevate the stand!

Iím using these bed risers. The stand still feels stable, and itís much easier to get in and out if the hammock.

Anyone try an amok dramur in it yet? That would be handy for sure.

I have now tried my Dutch 11', my HH Expedition which is a bit under 10', and an ENO single the neighbor has. The 10' or less is a bit more comfy from a lay stand point, not much but a bit less calf ridge line. The 11' does work but the angle is a bit steep. I would not venture to hang something longer than 11' on it.

The big issue for me was the height off the ground. I fixed that with the cinder blocks. Not pretty but it works. Adding 16" of height was just enough for me to be comfortable getting in and out.

This will have a spot in my truck kit. Add a couple of long poles/sticks as anchor points for a tarp and it will work just fine.

hang points are way too low for a draumr. i don't think you could keep the draumr off the bottom bars

I've been able to hang my WB Eldorado and HH Ultralight Zip just fine once I got the cheap bed risers from Target. I've noticed I get the best hang with anything under 10 feet. Even with that, I prefer having a 9 foot hammock on there.

I drilled out the rivets holding the plastic feet of the Ozark Trail Hammock stand and inserted 30” 3/4” EMT conduit. It raised the height by 12”. Using some EMT fittings I made a T at the bottom so the new legs don’t drive themselves into the ground. With the additional height my UQ doesn’t touch the ground, I do anchor the ends down to the ground but it’s fairly stable without the anchors.
