    Trail Lair tie outs?

For those of you using the tie outs on the Trail Lair, what cordage are you using for the tie outs? I've got a Trail Lair on it's way (be here Monday) and am thinking some stretch cord would work good. Input?

I used thin stretch cord like you referenced. It is the same thickness as my Dream Hammock. I think I got it from Dutch. Sorry I don't know the actual size.

I've got 1/8" shock cord on it currently, but I'm switching it out for 1/16". The 1/8" is overkill in my opinion.

Thanks! I'll get some stretch cord on order then.

I use a foot of 5/32 shock approximately 12 inches long with zing it. When setting up the tarp I pull the zing it until the shock cord is stretched which then helps hold the tarp tight overnight.

I do not use the tieouts on my Lair as I found I never used them and the cordage was in the way when I did.

I tried the tieouts, but found them unnecessary as well.

That is interesting. I think the 4 tieouts are what makes it so comfortable. But to each his own.

I use two 6' lengths of 3/32" fluorescent shock cord (https://www.litesmith.com/shock-cord/) at the diagonally opposite head and foot positions. Makes for a roomy interior, keeps the netting away from the face, and reduces swinging. Great hammock, enjoy it!
