I found this review as I am thinking about upgrading from a WBBB XLC to a Ridge Runner. I get a bit of calf-squeeze and it is a little uncomfortable on my side. I almost never back-sleep in a bed, but for some reason that is more comfortable and I tend to back sleep more in the XLC.
What surprises me is that in this thread, anyone who has an black bird says the RR is at least as good (couldn't decide) or they prefer the RR. Only one person (who I don't think had a WB BB) said they returned the RR.
I love my XLC, don't get me wrong, but ever since I started sleeping with the RR, she has gotten super jealous! I think I might even let her go soon and stick with the better, flatter lay Lol

I have a XLC and a RR on occasion I can get a good hang with XLC but most times I have a problem with the ridge but the RR I don’t same lay every time both have little things like others have posted above but never have I had the RR keep me awake and I can side sleep if I find myself with my knees up on the side ribbing really no big deal but the Ambush under quilt I have them in 0* 20* 40* in 950 dritec and I love them no draft and the 0 is as light as my 40* Zeppelin in 750 FP I have wide shoulders and always put the extra shoulder bar in but if you have larger shoulders then a xxl I would try it first.
