Lol, Peeeeetey, thanks to you and old pros, this will be a great hang. Before Marty suddenly passed away, he provided some hammock camping accessories for our hang. I’d gathered up a pile of his accessory gear in his showroom-shop—and he priced it all at a really low price. That’s vintage Marty—always kind and generous.
Peeeeetey if Acme ships my underwater blowtorch in time for this weekend—-you’ll have less chance than the Roadrunner vs Coyote when Acme shipped ultimate devices for snaring Roadrunner.
Looks like we will be arriving Saturday morning. See everyone then.
So far, only 1 of the left-side sites is occupied. Thursday lookin better than friday for setting up main camp.

My plan is still to hike in from Jumping Off Rock tomorrow morning (rain and all) and I'm all for doing some more hiking on Saturday (unless the body decides otherwise that morning). Maybe keep heading south and go to where the Uwharrie Trail crosses Dutchman's Creek and back? Looks like that would be right at 4 miles (total out and back) and the profile looks like a bunch of smaller ups/downs with only two of them being around 100' climbs.
I’m running late Thursday.
When the man delivers 2 loads of firewood, use your best judgement on where he can unload.
One year he unloaded under large oak tree.
But we don’t want wood unloaded at someone else’s campsite.
Your best guess will not be second guessed.
Thanks old pros.

Well the first hike I mapped out was a loop using the Uwharrie Trail and Dutchman's Creek Trail. It's about 8.7 miles with more significant climbs and descents. Might take up a good portion of the day before the BBQ?
