    Kudos to all involved.

Since they are Chameleons, you cannot really see them, right? So, how can they have a name?

That's a cool hammock stand! Does everybody have to lie in the same direction, though?

Nope, they aren’t that close and the head end is the foot end. Since it is Chameleons they can flip the bugnet.

    Donna here...
I must set the record straight...I didn't make the tarp! It actually is a Sportime GripStarChutes Parachute we (camp) purchased on Amazon. I did have to repair the parachute when an accident happened and the edge tore about 4 feet.

The hammock stand holds 16 hammocks and it was Tim's idea/design (camp director wanted something to hold a bunch of hammocks). With the help of several guys, the stand was built.

Dutch gave the camp a wonderfully, terrific, great deal on the hammocks!!!

Tim and I supplied the Underquilt protectors to hold a pad in place and the pads.

The hammocks did get some use over the last several weeks, and the goal is more interest next year. Tim is looking to build a more permanent "roof" before next summer. He needs to collect some ideas and the $$ to do it...but when he puts his mind and heart into something...it always gets done!

On a side note...After a total shoulder replacement in January, Tim is having some serious surgery on his right foot August 1st. He has been in a cam boot since January. He couldn't have the ankle surgery until his shoulder healed enough...because, after the foot surgery, 6 weeks of non weight bearing in a cast and another 6 weeks in the cam boot again.

Now that his shoulder is pain free, he can sleep in his hammock again!! It has been well over a year since he slept in one. Hopefully by spring, he will be able it hike again! All this without taking much time off work...he is a trooper!!

Yes, one of the ideas is a metal roof. He just needs to figure out the best way to make it octagonal, and other specifics. A shingle roof is another idea. $$ and ease of building it will be the deciding factor!

Thank you for your kind words. We will not be asking for/setting up donations through Hammock Forums...not my intentions at all . If you have an interest in reading/learning about the camp where Tim works, here is the link. https://campconquest.org .
