DIY UQ for WB Ridgerunner
Construction: This is made from a few costco down throws. I used measurements of a warbonnet lynx to derive measurements for my underquilt. The length is 70 inches and the insulated section is 30 inches wide. The rest of the fabric matches the contour of the ridgerunner. I started by seam ripping the costco quilt and then sewing faux baffles (so this is no longer sewn through). The faux baffles also means that the inner fabric is shorter than the outside fabric (which is a good thing) and allows better lofting while following the curvature of the hammock. I took additional down from another costco down throw and added it to this underquilt. I also cut and sewed the quilt to match the contour of the ridgerunner. I sewed loops at each corner for attachment to the ridgerunner (I usually just use rubber bands or shock cord attached to each of the loops). Note that this was my first sewing / underquilt and there are places where it shows (some of the cuts/sewing aren't great). I've tried to take pictures to show it the best I can but understand that this is not a professional quilt.. Overall though, I'm quite please with how this turned out and it works well and fits the ridgerunner very well. The saddlebags are fully useable just like with the lynx. Includes a stuff sack.
Weight: 14.36 oz
Condition: I've used this for 6-7 nights total. Stored in a dry location. Smoke / pet free.
Temperature Rating: I've used this into the mid 30F's and was comfortable, so i'll say that's it's limit as I haven't tested any lower. The insulation lofts to about 2.25 inches.
Color: Grey / Silver. The shiny side faces the hammock.
