Welcome to the neighborhood! Bring it on. Lots of trees to go around.
Don't forget to sign up on the spreadsheet.
I'm intrested in the group hang as it would be my first one just had a few questions I was hoping you could help with? About how many people attended last year? What was the age range? What was the temp last year during event? What kind of items should we bring to help out the group?
Cody,
Last year was my first group hang at this event. We had, if memory serves, 13-14 people total who spent at least some time there. Had a GREAT TIME!! Met some really interesting people, laughed, ate, joked, discussed, and slept really well in my hammock setup. Plus got to see other hangers setups as well.
Ages ranged, again, estimating a little bit, 20's to 60's.
Last years temp ranged high 20's to low 40's.
BACON!! Well, some other food always helps. Water, and other drinkables, plus paper plates / towels / cooking gear.
My suggestion would be check out last years Hang Report, plenty of details there.

I hope you can pull it off and join us! Don't forget to add to the spreadsheet if you can make it. By the looks of it, it looks like they'll be a bunch of hot tents this year...
We are less than one month away from this years Gluttony Hang and it's coming quick! I talked to Ed and he'll be getting out to the site to mow the area where camp and parking will be. Note, when people arrive, they'll be signs directing them through the property. Base camp will be in the same spot, so you can just drive down there to unload gear etc., then just backtrack to the parking area.
Need ideas of what to bring? Well, bacon is a given, but snacks for around the campfire and desserts are always appreciated by the group. It's too soon to guess what the weather will be like and it is what it is!
Cooler temperatures coming this weekend.... Good for testing gear setups and some new recipes over a fire.
Getting anxious for Fall to really arrive, the past 2 days of mid-80's is a bit warm for October. Michigan trees are beginning to show some nice colors and should be reaching a marvelous peak in the next couple of weeks.
Only 3 weeks to go for Gluttony weekend!! I'm begining to get twitchy with anticipation....

Two weeks from today, some of us will be arriving at the Gluttony Hang. It's coming fast, so post your info on the spreadsheet and let us know what your bringing. Extended forecast looks like we are in for cooler weather, but that always can change!
I've got more of that cherry coffee for the pot, plus smoked chicken and Apple barbecue sauce for a mid-day snack. Still working on deciding what else to bring.
Can't wait to get out in the woods!
Weather report!
I was telling Dave yesterday that I surprisingly got a hall pass for this weekend, but may need to use that elsewhere. As much as I want to make this, I gotta get a fast/light solo trip in before winter.
