Looking at adding another Hammock to the stable in the next few week. I have always used 1.6 hexon is there a better material to try out. My biggest issue I run I to is a slight calf ridge. 6 feet 190 lbs.

I prefer the Argon 1.6. I did just get Warbonnet's Blackbird in the new 1.6 nylon, charcoal gray. After a 3-night test this past weekend, I'm sold on that as well! Soft, silky but more than enough support.
While we're on the subject, and at the risk of highjacking the thread a little, could someone comment on robic 1.2 in comparison to argon or hexon 1.6? I know robic is lighter. I'm curious about subjective things like support, stretch and feel of the fabric when lying in the hammock.
"...the height of hammock snobbery!"

I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
Hyper D 1.6 is silky smooth.

In my experience: the more stretch a fabric has, the more of a calf ridge it can produce.
1.6 Argon is quite a bit more stretchy than 1.6 Hexon. If you like the Hexon, you could try the 2.4 Hexon, or a 1.6/1.0 Hexon double layer.
One of my favorite fabrics is the simple 1.9 ripstop nylon RbtR sells. It has the perfect amount of stretch - not too much, not too little. If only it was available in a wide version :/
Hyper D 1.6 is really nice . Smooth / silky. I myself have been using hexon 1.0 & 1.6 too. I’d put hyper d right up there with hexon , want to say it’s smoother , silkier
