Looks like you have more than a few for the hang Justin. Pick a date, and a spot. You know me, I'm a camping junkie, I'll camp anywhere, any time. I've had many motorcycle rides in the Dak's, great place to get "lost"!

Justin, do you have any idea of a time frame for this hang? We will be traveling this summer and if we are in the area, we would love to attend but it is all in the timing.

Hi all! My apologies for my absence of late. My life has been completely taken over with work.

Some of you know I’m the lead graphic designer and Customer service lead for Ripstop by the Roll. I’ve also been working on expanding my pattern library through a new venture called ‘HK Outdoor Designs’, where I’ve been working for a variety of clients. Most recently, I’m now the new graphic designer for HexCam USA.

On the flip side, Jess has taken on the task of starting a nonprofit, educational, sustainable garden for our school system under NY’s Farm to Table program, so the last few months for her has been grants and shopping lists, and seed starting.

Needless to say, we’ve been extremely busy. I’ve only been on HF a handful of times in 2019, and typically just to grab a link while helping customers for RBTR.

I have not forgotten about the idea of a NY hang. I’m still in talks with the property I initially mentioned. They’re a committee run Non Profit, and as you can imagine, it’s extremely slow going dealing with a committee. Especially when it comes to the idea of letting dozens of not hundreds of people onto their property.

While I haven’t given up on the original location, I have put serious effort into actually buying a property specifically to host a hang and provide a rest stop for friends and fellow hammockers to have a place to crash for the night, should the need it. I’m located just outside of Cooperstown, so
    there are some local attractions

I will put in more of an effort to be active on here, Facebook, and Instagram.

Thanks for the update Justin. Good to hear that life is robust and sounds quite fulfilling. I hope to make a hang sometime in the future. Best of luck to you & yours.

Hoping to join, newbi here. Hung first time Friday night with Warbonnet Ridgerunner, just ordered the 20f full length Lynx. I used underpad and confirmed how tipsy it is with to much air in it. Took app 70% out and i really didn't inflate it that much. Belly sleeper here so I tried my best on my side. Crazy but I went into hammock at 12:30am and was up by 4:30 am because of the sounds of birds and airplanes! Problem living near the pathway of planes near JFK airport I'm guessing. App 25 miles east of Brooklyn here.

Just so glad you're alive and well Justin! Best of luck to you and Jess on your new endeavors. You know, it's thanks to her that I have a Ridgerunner setup that I get to use at the Chef's Hang this month! Please say hello and thank her again for introducing me to the bridge hammock

I just recently learned there is a trans Adirondack trail. A 240 mile thru hike of the park. I ordered the guide and maps. When they get here I will try to find a good state forest wilderness area where we can hang in peace. It's a thru hike but it can be done in sections. I figure we can hike in from one of the towns along the trail.

I'm not stepping on Justin's post. I'll start a new one with all the info I can muster and we can go from there. Let's throw some dates up that we are available and maybe pick a weekend that works for the most folks. I'm 100% open for anything all year. 5 weeks vaction, 1 wife and no kids.

I wonder if a poll of each month would start narrowing it down, then when the month is chosen another poll for the week of that month? Am I making any sense? I've been up for 38 hours....
