I love these quilts. The Recon Habanero provides the same simple, effortless fit as last year's Operator Habanero in an even lighter package for ultralight summer advaentures, and the 3/4-length Recon Ghost Pepper is an excellent execution of a very worthwhile concept. Outstanding work, as always, George!

    100% Cowboy-approved.

Here is my 0° Ghost Pepper in standard width and length laying next to the new Recon Top Quilt. This shows you the difference in size. I used the Recon quilt set (Thank you George) a number of nights ranging from 51°F to 70°F. At 51° I just threw my fleece jacket I had with me over my shoulders. At 70° I opened the TQ up and just used it as a blanket with my feet sticking out. This set is stupid small and light! Perfect for UL backpacking and summer sleeping. I used the set both work out Walhalla Hammock and Outdoor Gear hammock as well as my Warbonnet XLC. I did find it slightly easier to adjust the UQ in the Walhalla as it has zippers both sides. But it fit both hammocks just fine.

Does anyone have a picture that shows the packed/compressed size? It would be much appreciated.

Let me get home and I'll post a picture later. The whole set probably compresses to the size of a nalgene bottle I bet.

Here is what BOTH quilts (TQ and UQ) look like together in the stuff sack. Please note that the quilts are merely constrained by the 14" long 6" diameter stuff sack, NOT fully compressed; they are easily compressed to half that volume, somewhere between 2.5 and 2.8 liters, if not even less volume. They're phenomenally small, especially for the amount of warmth.
