    Seeking Dog-Proof Guy Lines

As you can guess, I have a dog, Echo, and as you can also guess, Echo loves to run into my tarp guy lines. I've tried everything, paracord, zing-it, lash-it, reflective line, etc. and nothing seems to prevent Echo from plowing full on into them, sending stakes flying and causing undue stress on my tarp tie outs. If a game of fetch is afoot or another dog is around to frolic with, I might as well just stow the tarp until bedtime. Then, imagine what happens if I have to tie up my dog under the tarp for the night... Any suggestions? Thx! :-)

    Taxidermy?

(Couldn't help myself! In reality, I'm a pet/animal lover and could never really mean that.)

That would certainly slow her roll but i don't think that my lady would go for it. ;-) She thinks its funny when I spend my whole camping trip dodging flying stakes and re-tensioning guy lines. I thought about trying out some of that electric fencing for my guy lines, but...

I'd just leave the tarp secured in a tarp snake until I went to bed, or tie the dog to a tree

I wonder why my beagle Joey has never tripped on a guyline. Will he chew a guyline? Yes, but he has never tripped or ran into one. I guess he can see yellow Zing-It 1.75 mm just fine!

What kind of dog is Echo?

I think it's great that you're able to provide her with some entertainment.

That does surprise me that a beagle would stay guy line foul free. Echo is a Papillon, Boxer, Shar-Pei mix.

    Echo and her momma.

When I first started taking Sam I Am camping I had to tie him up away from my hammock as he would take out the tarp lines with with lead. Now that he is older I do not have to tie him up at night and usually he stays away from the lines. Of course if you do not have a bug net on your hammock he may wake you up in the morning with a big kiss. Just ask Mooseman.
