Hello again FLrebel. I wanted to jump in and provide some additional clarity to what others have already said here. Because of our great respect for the science, time, and effort it takes to build a high-performance yarn and brand name like ROBIC, it is our goal to always be sure we're using ROBIC approved yarn in our ROBIC fabrics, even if another yarn has the same or very similar performance.

This is why we work directly with the yarn manufacturer Hyosung on brand maintenance for ROBIC - vetting our supply chains to ensure that not only are we using high-end yarns, but that those yarns are ROBIC approved. Brand maintenance is nothing new in the world of branded yarns and it only becomes more important as the brand exposure grows like it has in the past few years with ROBIC. Other brands such as Cordura and Dyneema have undergone similar things at various times and we work with them too.

More than anything, it's a cooperative effort between Hyosung and RBTR to innovate in fabric and materials. Having a direct line to the yarn manufacturer is invaluable as we continue to come up with new ideas that push the envelope like our 1.2 oz and 1.7 oz ROBIC Hybrids. They want us to continue the work of expanding the ROBIC brand of high-end fabrics into the outdoor market and we plan to do just that. To that end, we actually have at least one new line of ROBIC fabric launching later this fall, which we're really excited about .

Hopefully that answers your question. If you need anything else, please let us know. Thanks!
