Portland, Oregon.
Hoping to make it to Deception Pass next month. Especially if it's not raining.

I mostly camp in state parks with the kids, and unfortunately don't always find appropriate trees.

It never rains under the tarp!

I do have a spare tarp (10x10 square) if that'll help.

You learn how to use what you have.

I started out with a ENO then moved up to a Hennessy. At that time a little Asym tarp came with the Hennessy's after a couple of rainouts during storms (right on the coast) I figured out how to keep dry in gale force driven rain coning every direction.

I like minimal Hanging, it is a art or maybe a craft to work with the elements to stay warm and dry.
PRACTICE where an exit is easy.
