Whew! Just got a TATO stand

For as long as they have been on the market I have looked but not pulled the trigger on the TATO stand. In my area trees are plentiful but I have started running into situations where there weren’t enough for everyone at a State Park in SC and now as I understand it Florida SPs won’t let you hang on trees. Additionally the brush is so heavy at the one I checked out it just wasn’t feasible. So I finally decide to get one and they aren’t available! Story of my life, I was in Florida in a dead zone on the first round. Well I have one now! Watched the Hammeck until they weren’t available.

You will be blown away. I decided to get one from the last batch after falling into a hammock stand 6 weeks ago that had been elevated on bed risers, catching my hand on a cross bar as the whole mess collapsed. Broke my hand in three places.

While that was a freak accident, I believe the Tato Stand will be safer. It dang sure is an upgrade. Well worth it.

This batch of stands is going, going, and almost gone at 9 left.

Looks like another "Kool-Aid Drinkers" thread here...
I was in, out, and done in the first four minutes last night
All of 'em are gone this morning...

I'm looking at it for two real reasons. 1] interstate traveling... I will be able to pull in anywhere there is a campground or a friend's yard and take any available site without worrying about tree placements.
2] star-gazing out in the center of my meadow for an open view

Has anyone seen one used with a 90° hammock like the AMOK Draumr ?
Wondering about the lateral stability... guess I'll find out on my own [hopefully] by next weekend!

I clocked out at 4 minutes too, Flash. There were 18 left, looks like maybe you got 20 and I got 19.

If I had saved the money from materials to build 2 Turtle stands, plus to buy 3 WM stands, it would have taken a chunk out of the cost of the Tato. The Tato cost is in line with the value.

I can tell you that the price is on point for the value. The stand is very well made from sturdy materials. Very portable, and easy to set up. I mostly keep mine set up in the living room. Sleep in a hamock full time, have for a couple of years now. been hanging from the Taco for the last year, every night. Well, so much for the rambling. Ya'll will be very happy with the purchase.

Yep. what I'm figuring on. Gotz no trees at my lady-friend's place down outside of Charlotte, NC where I'll be moving [hopefully].
They say that money can't buy happiness, but I do think it can enhance what happiness you've already go going down.... hangin' makes me happy.

Anybody looking in on this thread pick up a Tato in the batch from Dutch that went live several weeks ago...?

Give us a hint on how long it took to get yours?
I'm really hoping to have it for the L&L hang in case we need to display some of the raffle donations...

I didn't wait for more Tatos to show up in Lancaster PA. Instead I built a T-Dog stand with 8' legs that suits my needs. The Tensa 4 will probably be perfect for times when I need a light and compact stand though. My T-Dog stand is for backyard hanging only.

Straight from Florida State Parks website: “Hammock use and any other associated lines may be attached to trees that are minimum of 12 inches in diameter measured at chest height and using a minimum of 1 inch wide flat web straps. Some parks may provide hammock posts instead of trees.”
