    Another Texas Pound Hawg Hammock

This prolly should be down in the DIY section, but I will try it up here.
I finished this one up thismorning, and was able to talk Baby Moma, into to modeling it for me,,,,( I really needed to see how it did with more weight than me).

I did a few things differnt to this one.
Added the removeable ties outs, and used a heavier web strap for the foot end ties.

Also added the loop to hang the stuff bag on the inside to store the cell phone and pocket stuff.

I haven't decided yet, but I think I an gonna add some more ties, to hold the head end closed like in this picture( it is just pinned here)

This one is 9'10" long knot to knot and 58 1/2 inches wide. I dont know how much it will hold, but I now know it will hold more than me.....

    Looks great, Randy!

It's great being able to have someone else get into the hammock. You get a whole different perspective from the outside looking in.

When I put together my first diy hammock with that digicam fabric, I got my husband to lay in it. He weighs a lot more than I do, which helped me trust the hammock a lot more. Plus I got to really take a closer look at how the weight would affect the suspension and tieouts, etc.

I really love how you do those ties on your hammocks! Great job once again!

    Perkolady,
Thank you, I don't use any quilts and stuff, just those heavy sleeping bags, those tie straps really help keep the foot end of the sleeping bag from walking over the edge during the night, and help keep from chasing a pad if one is used.

Thanks a cool idea, Randy. It's really peaked my curiousity too. I'm gonna give it a try. I have a 7yo nephew I want to take hammock camping and I really think that your idea would help keep things in the hammock better for him. Less for me to have to get up in the middle of the night to check on!

Ties are great and there is just a lot of cuteness around your house.

One day, if there's a god, I will meet this woman, and we're gonna have a little chat.

I like what you're doing with the hammocks, Randy. Do the ties work out better than the fabric cover that you tried first?
