    Please settle a ridgeline dispute (Zing-it, Lash-it, Reflect-it)

I have a Dutchware Zing-it tarp ridgeline. My friend has the Dutchware reflective ridgeline he refers to as reflective Lash-it. My line is a tad stiff, structured, coated, and is sometimes difficult to get out of the wasp. His is much softer, less coated feeling, and is always easy to get out of the wasp. It's been like that since the day he bought it.

He says his line is reflective lash-it, and that lash-it differs from zing-it. I say zing-it/lash-it are the same except color, and my understanding is Reflect-it is made of the same material but with the tracer running through it.

Does he have reflect-it, or did Dutchware sell a different reflective ridgeline at some point? I know I'm right about zing-it/lash-it being the same (it's even the same product code on many sites), but why is his line different in terms of coating, feel and ease of use?

Your friend does not have reflective Lash-It. It may be reflective, but it ain't Lash-It. Samson makes Zing-It and Lash-It, and they don't sell a reflective version of it. And yes, Lash-It and Zing-It are the same thing, just different colors.

Perhaps your friend has Litesmith Catzye.

Your friend has Dutch's own brand of cord, reflect-it. It's not a Samson product. Both are UHMWPE but braided/produced in a different method.
They've always felt quite a bit diffrent.
It's not Catzeye line as Litesmith's cord has a coating similar to lash/zing it.

I think he has Dutch Reflect it. I have some, and it is definitely softer and less stiff than ZingIt, although it's theoretically made of the same stuff, and in the same diameter. I suspect there are differences in the coating, and perhaps in the weaving that make it feel (and operate) differently.

That is the reflect it. It doesn't have the urethane coating and that is the main difference.
