Excuse me if this has been asked before and answered. Are tents welcomed? I have a non-hammock friend that would like to see how we hang in the cold. What about dogs?

Also I noticed some older post have the location of the shack and some information. I just want to verify that the seudo address (946 County Rd T, Amherst Junction, WI 54407) is still correct. Also, how far is the hike from parking to the location of the hang?

Thanks Tumbleweed for being a gracious host.
    Hi All, Tumbleweed here,
    Tents and dogs welcome.
Parking is at da shack on a big lawn. Most people set up within 100 yards of their vehicle.
This is assuming that snow depths in December allow your vehicle. We do have 4WD trucks available.
Location is unchanged. Tractor path / road to da shack is on the east side of highway "T", across from the Ice Age Trail sign about one third mile north of the highway "T" intersection with highway "MM". Drive along the edge of the soybean field.
There is a hammock located at the driveway entrance. Call when in the area if desired. 715-572-5342 my cell.

All are welcome... including tent nesters.

Here is a little help finding Da Shack for those who have never been.

Go to the Iola Winter Sports Club website then click the "Activities/Location" tab near the top of the screen. Scroll down to the bottom and on the righthand side there is a map. Click the "View Larger Map" tab. Turn on "Satellite" mode and it is all downhill from here. "Da Shack" is just a skosh NW (up and left) of the red pin showing the location of the Iola Winter Sports Club.

The wife might let me out for an over nighter this weekend, still to be determined since I just got back from the Chili Hang. Will for sure be there for the December hang though. Looking forward to my first winter night in a hammock. Especially in my new Chameleon 11'

OMG, congrats on the chameleon. Tell your wife to come along and bring the puppies.

Okay so I will be coming out, probably going to be crashing up stairs in da shack. I have a 10lb weight limit so I am not sure if I will be able to help much in the wood processing dept. I have staples all across my stomach but I can't miss a da shack hang, not sure how long I will stay but I will be there.

If anyone is bringing dogs and they would like some beef bones please let me know, I am bringing my boys and bones for them so if you want some please let me know.

Tumbleweed I am bringing those hammocks up with me for you to look at for your grandson.
