    1st Synthetic UQ Q

    Here it is. -





    I need to stabilise the insulation to stop it shifting too much. What's the best method for this?

    Yep. I quilted mine on 10x12 grid.

    One thing I would suggest is that you really don't want the down stitch and the upstitch really close together. I thought you would, but found that if they are too close together it is very easy to pull them through the fabric when stuffing. I'd suggest a space of 2mm or so.

    Just my experience.

    And don't pull those knots tight. Find a stick about the same width as your fabric, wrap the knot around the stick and pull it tight. A 1-foot grid sounds about right. It takes a little time, but is pretty easy to do.

    At the bottom of this article are full instructions. (Choose Sleeping,then light quilt.)

    That looks like the way. Thanks. I needed to see a pic.

    Really pleased with the UQ. Pretty warm and sits much better under the hammock than I thought it would.
