CL to kevlar straps/becket hitch. This is obviously light as can be, but I'm more concerned about pack size. You'd never even know they're packed, esp compared to most bulky straps. Only issue I have with kevlar straps is they tend to roll on the tree a little, so i try to watch that.

Would like to see close ups of the setups... plus the original suspension setup. I'm considering a RR and am curious about the original configuration and alternatives.

    Thanks,

If you don't mind keeping the suspension connected to the hammock (or unthreading the strap from the buckle), that setup from WB works very well. No, it's not the lightest but the straps are very nice and the buckles work very well.

Otherwise, Dutch's Cinch Bugs or the newer Beetle Buckles are a great choice if you want to use straps. I like the sewn-on Dutch Clips too but if you already have straps with loops, a Dutch Clip, a Multi-Buckle, or a good 'biner eliminates threading the strap through the loop.

I use Ruta Locura CF Spreader bars, Stock amsteel dogbones. For the tree I wrap 15' Venom Straps with cinch bugs to s=connect to the dog bones. Very light and allows me to disconnect hammock from suspension. My other option is Bridge Whoopie hooks to 6 foot straps, but I found that i need a larger span to get the bridge to hang correct.
