Are we still on our own for meals? Or does the campground provide meals?

HangCon 2018 - 2024, (to be continued...)
Well I just realized that not only is HangCon not at Doe Lake, but that it’s not even this upcoming weekend, it’s still two weeks away!! I’m in West Melbourne now, had the pleasure of seeing the inner workings of ZPacks and will be laying tracks north. Will 100% be in the Ocala National Forest by that point so IDK if I can make it logictically. Will update my position on the Florida Trail next weekend. Take care

Your 1" straps should be fine. Of course, wider is always better.
Lots of pine trees to hang from so bring some rags to cover your straps.
Thanks for checking!
At this point, meal plans are the same. The campground does not provide any meals.
Standby for updates and clarifications from Gumbo and Hotlips.

So many trees, so little time...
Oh yeah, & ZPacks told me they have a new thing with Dutch coming out. It’s going to lower the weight of all the tie outs and cordage. Ask Dutch about it, will bring the lightest plexamid to 13 ozs

Additional FYIs about SERTOMA...
As I remember there are plenty of picnic tables.
Picnic table benches are good for strapping down hard sided coolers to keep critters out. Please do not bring styrofoam!
I've never seen anything bigger than a squirrel at SERTOMA, but let's be smart about it anyway. Raccoons will still try to chew into your cooler. I've not heard of bears in the area for years, but that doesn't mean we can be careless.
If you are in the Primitive Area, your car will be farther away than you want to tote your cooler back and forth. If you pay for a camping spot in the regular area, you can park on your site and put your cooler in your car.
Bring your folding camp chairs. In fact, you'll probably want one for your camping site and another to leave at the pavillion. (Please note that means leave it during HangCon, not leave behind. Every year people leave ratty old torn and faded camp chairs. If you're gonna leave your chair behind, please leave the nice one with the sunshade and the footrest.)
There are bathrooms and showers. They are separated so you won't be able to dry off with paper towels or toilet paper if you neglect to bring a towel. So don't forget your towel.
Most cell signals are good. Be aware that many of us come to HangCon to get away from such things, so please be considerate of your fellow Hangers. If you have to carry your #&!#*'n phone, please silence it. Anyone whose phone goes off at a camp fire or during a group meal, immediately has to get up and do the popcorn dance with lilricky.

So many trees, so little time...
- Loki my videos
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn." — John Muir
There are street lights in the main area - sorry about that. We will try to get them turned off. Be aware if you have a translucent or clear-ish tarp that you could be in your hammock and looking straight into a street light. I've done it. It's hard to roll over and ignore a street light.
