Seriously considering coming out Friday evening to Saturday some time. I think I will try to come by creek (in a kayak). Does anyone know if the creek is maintained from the road to the camp site? (Is it passable or are there trees across the creek that I will need to deal with?) Also, is there a put in at the road or is it just make your own path? I was there last time and it looked possible, but maybe a little difficult. This site is closer to me than the Orlando sites you usually frequent so this is an easier one for me.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.

I know of one time that craigc came in by paddle board from the Polk County Park. Seems that I recall it may have involved some work around. As far as I know there is no routine creek maintenance from Ruck's Dairy Rd. to the lake. After Irma there were a couple of trees down in site of the campsite so the creek could be impossible. You can call the park @ 863-589-0545 and see if they may have any info.

Just scanned the post and there are a few of the old regulars that haven't checked in. May be that some are getting as bad as me about checking the forum.
