Sounds like a good starting point.Everyone needs at least 4-6 hammocks
I have an assortment of BB's and 1 XLC and I find the BB to be more comfortable. Right now I have 4 hammocks I really like.

I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Sometimes people just think different is better.
I like all my hammocks in different ways and fabrics make the same hammock feel much different.

I have tried a lot of hammocks, but Warbonnet hammocks are the most comfortable hammocks to me by far. Their design creates a noticeably different lay compared to DH or Dutch. However, if you like the Blackbird and Traveler hammocks, there's a good chance that you'll love the longer versions. I love my Blackbirds and use one for hiking when weight is important. But at home or when weight is less important, I would always go for a Traveler XL, XLC or Eldorado because they are a little bit more comfy.
fabric may also be a consideration. Hexon or hyperD fabrics for example are are very comfortable to many people. customization can also be a factor of comfort in a hammock.
I think people who haven't found the BB (as well as the XLC) comfortable haven't gotten the foot end high enough. Sounds like you have. Of course fabric choice will make one BB feel different than another (as well as another brand.)
The biggest reason, IMO, for going with the (new) XLC is the upgrade in features. Can't imagine you not liking it if you love your other WBs.
