    center zip sb as uq

well, I finally did it, last night I went and got myself a 90 dollar thread injector from wally world and after figuring out just how to set it up and quite a few practice runs I got together my first project.

This is my center zip summer weight "frogsack" sleeping bag converted into an underquilt. I just sewed on loops as attachment points.

here is my eno with the uq, but I really made it for my blackbird ....

the sewing isn't pretty but I think it'll get the job done

and I only broke one needle thru out all of this!
and it was a good thing I was wearing glasses .....

then I went on to modify my warbonnet superfly tarp with line pouches ......

Very cool... If you broke a needle, it was probably too small... (ask me how I know!)

Looks great, the only thing I see is the foot-end is somewhat open, it might get chilly...

What's next on the project list? Hammock Sock? Python-Skins?

I've made different suspension for the uq today and I'm in the process of repairing the drawstring at the foot of the frogsac uq so that space gets closed up.

next? I've already made tarp line pouches and then I got serious and make snake skins for my tarp. oh yeah baby, that's nice! or the concept is nice, not my stitching! practice, practice ......

all this is leading up to my all in one hammock/bivy/tarp idea, someday. But at least now with a thread injector that day is much closer!

I also plan on making my new exped wallcreeper center zip sleeping bag into my winter underquilt for when I get into some serious winter camping maybe next winter.

    ...... and there's a silnylon (?) rain jacket or poncho ....... and a .......

Yes, it seems I spend more time thinking and working on the next project than actually using them...

    Welcome to the addiction.
