We did make the Gorge. It was when Carolina Backpacker had his fall down the mountain. That was a scary day.

I was thinking of that this past week. I was crossing the gorge on the Mountain to Sea trail and saw a few helicopter fly overs. Gotta be careful in the gorge. She can be a tough one.

The guide is 20 yrs old but I doubt the trail has changed that much. There is a wealth of info in the guide 110 pages chock full of maps and other interesting info. See you at Medoc.

Y'all are all so wonderful. I look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming hangs, and chknbone we should definitely meet up some time! I work at SAS right off of I40, so I'm not too far from you. I'll keep everyone updated as my schedule updates, but I'd love to see some of y'all out there!

Thank you for this generous offer! Also, you'll be happy to hear that due your letting us test yours out at the meetup, you won't be the only one with a Mayan hammock at the MMSP hang! I got my own for my birthday, and I'm loving it so far!
