Planning an AT section hike with hammocks for early June 2019. Any issues hammocking through the park with the rules? Thanks for any help on this.

I backpack up there quite often. No issues. If you’re planning on camping around the huts, I think you have to stay a minimum distance away from them...but it work out anyway because the trees are a bit away from them too.

Thanks, very helpful. We were thinking of being at the huts for privy and water.
I’ve hung a hammock through Shenandoah, no issues at all.

There is no problem hanging in SNP. There are established camping areas near the huts, the exception being the day use-only shelters. The backcountry pamphlet that’s in the box and on the website is pretty transparent about the rules and there is typically good signage indicating the definite no-no spots along the trail. You should have a blast!
