Best way to clean sap from tree huggers/straps?

Is there some secret to removing sap from tree straps? I've tried water and dish soap to no avail.

PS: I've got poly "tree huggers" from Dutch, if that matters.

Try the denatured alcohol we use in our stoves..
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

    Real hot water...almost boiling.
    Alcohol.
    Goop Off.
Accept the sap and let it dry.

If you freeze it, it may flake off. Or apply enough powder that it is not sticky anymore and leave it alone.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.

I've used rubbing alcohol and a rag before. That seems to do the trick everytime.

...and what makes a clown cry? Sappy straps.

I've used alcohol and a rag on my DWG dyneema/poly straps with good results. Maine white pine tree sap is a worthy adversary.

Goo Gone is amazing for anything sticky. Removing labels from bottles, etc. You just better like the smell of citrus, or else you'll be doing a lot of cleaning to get that off.
