Is there some secret to removing sap from tree straps? I've tried water and dish soap to no avail.
PS: I've got poly "tree huggers" from Dutch, if that matters.

Try the denatured alcohol we use in our stoves..
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
Real hot water...almost boiling.
Alcohol.
Goop Off.
Accept the sap and let it dry.

If you freeze it, it may flake off. Or apply enough powder that it is not sticky anymore and leave it alone.

I've used rubbing alcohol and a rag before. That seems to do the trick everytime.

Goo Gone is amazing for anything sticky. Removing labels from bottles, etc. You just better like the smell of citrus, or else you'll be doing a lot of cleaning to get that off.
