    What fun!

Took my first DIY out for a test. Worked great! Thanks to everyone for their help! I even stumbled across $1 camo bugnet at WalMart and made a bugnet for it!

Doesn't look like much, but it worked great!

All that matters is that you enjoyed it. Besides, it looks great to me. Well done and HAPPY HANGING!!
I have seen the camo bugnet stuff at my local walmart too. I thought about getting some, but the holes looked too big to keep the no-see-ums out. Maybe I shouldn't be so darn picky

Congrats. Looks good to me. I finished mine a couple of days ago.
Will have to take her on her first hanging soon. Not counting my indoor
    hanging of course.

    Looks great!

Not much sag in that hang...if your shoulders get sore (shoulder squeeze), add some sag. But some folks like it tight like that. Even Risk used to hang his that way, too. As long as you're comfortable in it, that's all that matters!

I'm gonna have to go with the gang on this one, I clearly saw the corner of a tent in that picture. Blasphemer! Just the same, glad your DIY hammock worked out for you. Good job.

Give the guy a break. Maybe he was being a hammock missionary. He set-up real close to the ground-dwellers so that they would be envious and want to convert!

Or maybe it was the only way he could get his SO to go camping!

c'mon, surely that was just insurance? First night out in a DIY hammock?

The insurance I'll bring to my first night out in a DIY hammock will be honking great crash pads under it.
