SLOVAKIA: Vtacnik peak and surrounding rocks

Another weekend, another trip. Sunbathing the first day on the rocks, and strong freezing wind the next day. Just a little difference in altitude and the situation changes. Just to be prepared.

Our first night hotel, just on the edge of these rocks ...

    Waiting for the sunset...

Then the colors start to sing ...

Jump or not? /into the hammock/

The last bits of light and the moon can start to shine

Little fire and some food to be prepared, the moon illuminated us enough just not to walk right into the emptyness

One is prepared for the tarpless night, but not with this monster light right in the face

    Morning coffe and some pictures

And then to move on few hundred meters higher

Strong wind, cloud, not very suitable for hammocks... we found a nice place few meters below the summit

    First ice this season

Few shots on the summit before descending

Beautiful as always! May I ask what type of camera and lenses you typically carry on these trips? I’m new to photography (at least using more than my iPhone) and I’m learning cameras and lenses are heavy.

I think you forgot to mention the drone equipment? Those shots add some real pizazz to the forays.
