I am pretty sure mine does not have them either. I will check when I get home. Are the pockets at all the tie-outs or just at the ridge-line?

There should be little pockets on the backside at every tie out-they are not huge but perfect for your line rolled up- have a look, they are not super obvious

I have the Silnylon Hex and have not been disappointed with it. Just be aware that the Camo Hex Tarp appears to be made of 70D nylon which will add some weight versus the brown 30D version. Conversely, the heavier 70D material is less expensive.

There are pockets for the line on my tarp, but it is new and the more expensive 30D version. Supertramp is correct, they aren't obvious.

The Hennesy tarp I have does have small pockets, as ST stated. They are small triangles located at the 4 pull outs. They might be about 1 to 2 inches high from the apex of the triangle, formed at the pull out. (I am at work, and trying to get this old head to remember)

    CAMO ASYM HEX FLY:
    Weighs 1 lb. 7 oz., 650 g

30D "HEX"-SHAPED SILNYLON RIPSTOP RAIN FLY
    Weight: 19 oz.

This comes out to a difference of 4 oz for half the price right? The 2009 camo asym hex fly seems lw enough for the function.

    And can someone explain this?

    -------
    photo and specs
    ASYM 30D SILNYLON RAIN FLY
Replacement for U.L.Backpacker Asym or upgrade for Expedition Asym owners who want a lighter weight rainfly.

    $49.95

    ---------
What do I turn in my current fly and buy this for less than half price?

Im not completely sure... but from what i understand, if at the moment you are purchasing a hammock via website you want a bigger or lighter tarp, you can mention you want a different tarp and pay the difference with some models. But if you already purchased the hammock, you would jsut have to buy a separrate tarp for the full price.

The camo hex fly is 132x72".

The 30D Hex is 144X132. So, even though about 4 oz heavier, the camo hex is MUCH smaller. Probably big enough, but not in the same category when it comes to size.

What it has going for it is: CAMO and Cat cut and much cheaper. So, it might be a good choice for many.
