...A mini Biner on the RL, 4 simple wraps, and this has become a 1st time every time setup for me...

For some reason, I’m having trouble envisioning this mod. Can you provide more details or a picture?

Just take a mini Biner and do a few wraps of the ridgeline around it. Pretty sure I saw Professor Shug do it, and it just happened to work for me. Not sure how much shorter it made the RL, but it’s results are undeniable for me.

I saw some pictures in the thread “Shortening a ridgeline” from a couple of years ago. Now it makes sense.

For me the key to a good (no - great!) sleep in my WBBB XLC is to make sure that my head is well towards the end of the hammock.
I find that putting my shoulders level with the logo patch is perfect.
While I generally do put the foot end higher than the head end, I find it's not so important.

I also find that my worst sleep in my XLC is still better than any night spent on the ground!
