    I haven't read it in a couple of days, but it sounds like the bus trip was most unpleasant.

    It does sound like he wasn't a very happy camper (no pun intended) on the bus ride. I hope the hike treats him better. I'm sure it will, like he says, it will all work out in the end.

    I'd fly into Atlanta. From what I understand there are several groups/people that will transport you from there.

    Ohio to Georgia on a bus wouldn't be to bad. You still have to find a way to get to the AT from Atlanta. Lots of hostels will pick you up. Go to www.whiteblaze.net and start lurking..tons of info to look at

    long bus rides boring,from 2001 to 2006 i have hiked from springer mt to pinkham notch,a lot of bus rides on my section hikes neo
