Thanks to Turk on the shock-cord.I like the long shock cord tricks. I've been using long thin line but if I get them up at neck level for the porch view there's a good chance of someone being decapitated running though camp

I have more footage than you can believe. I go out and just start shooting. That is my MO .... no plan ..... just START!I can't believe how fast you are cranking these out!! The amount of information contained in your quick, entertaining format never ceases to amaze me. I do have a question though. How do you keep your camera operating at these temps? It seems like if I point my electronic wonder out the warm kitchen window on a chilly winter morning it acquires a severe case of the chilblains and goes on strike.
I hope you don't run out of material for a long while, I REALLY enjoy your videos, learn a lot, and am always looking forward to the next....and yes, I am stalking you through this forum, searching for the next Shugvid!!
As to the camera ... I keep in in my chest pocket at all times when not shooting. Same with my extra batteries. I treat like a diva.

The head cam did work out nice. It is a keeper.
They are good and open woods.Another great video shug, Loving the series. Those are some pretty woods. So do you do the picking in the begining of your videos, the music always get my feet moving. My GF was even commenting on how nice the music was in your videos. What hat are you wearing it looks warm? And being new to backpacking I love learning fun little neat facts I would of never of thought of like placing your tarp in the middle of animal tracks. Such common sense but so easy to overlook. What I appreciate most about these videos Shug is that you qualify your statements by saying that this is just one way to do things and there are many others. That is the spirit of the forum that is sooo healthy. Independent thinking and recognizing different perspectives as valid. Good work.

Shug, how many feet of shock cord do you use for your pull outs? I'm thinking of switching from rope to shock cord after seeing your video and am just curious of the length.
Give me a few more years of experience, some time to get some winter gear toogether and Id love to try out a sub zero hang, Count me in for Shug Sub Zero hang 2013
