    Missouri Frozen Butt Hang 2018/2019

Unless I missed it, I don’t see a thread started for this years 2018/2019 Missouri Frozen Butt Hang. Last couple have been the first weekend after new years day. That would be January 4-6 this year. Bell Mountain seems to be the tradition. Anyone interested?

It doesn't have to be Bell Mountain either. If someone else has a better spot, we could do that too. I know The Wilderness Trail at Meramec State Park is in the same area and has water along the way, which is very nice! I believe we have done a forum hang there before as well and had a great turnout.

Meramec, Hawn, Taum Sauk, Berryman, Hazel Creek - any of these work for me.

Depending on business travel I would certainly be interested. Another neat hike would be to meet at Taum Sauk state park and to hike down past Mina Sauk Falls about 3-4 miles. There's a really nice camp site and the stream is right beside it; lots of trees, etc. But I'm okay with anyplace folks decide on.

I did this earlier this year. Beautiful! I found a nice spot right before the Toll Gate, (Devil's Toll Gate, that is!)

Another option would be to camp at Taum Sauk on Friday and backpack as Gideon suggested on Sat. (kind of like we did at Bell Mountain last winter).

We should lock down a date as soon as possible, makes it easier if we can put it on the calendar before anything else takes up that date!

    Looking forward to it!

I like this idea! Car camp and good eating Friday night, then the hike and over-nighter on Saturday along Gideon's mentioned path. Let's go ahead and set the date as January 4-6 so all can plan on it.
