Dutch Continuous Tarp Ridgeline with Nama Claws?

    Hi All,

I want to purchase a Dutch continuous tarp ridgeline with dutch hook on one end, wasp on the other end, and nama claws in the middle. Does anyone sell this setup? Or, will a Dutch hook fit through a nama claw so I can feed them onto the kit Dutch sells?

    Thanks

You can do the whole setup yourself with Zingit, Dutch Hook, and the Wasp. Or just go ahead and get Dutch’s setup with the soft shackles and use them other places (which is what I did). Also, rather than taking of the Hook, slide the Wasp off the far end of the Hook, then out on the claws are replace the Wasp. This is how I added Nama Claws to my ridgeline. One caveat, you’ll likely have to cut the end because the buried end is too big to fit through the claw.

This setup works GREAT, and I’ve discovered that if you have multiple tarps, all you have to do is string up your CRL, loosen the claws, disconnect one tarp and replace with the second. You can even keep your snakeskins on the CRL. Easy peasy.

I'm too lazy to do the buries, so I was hoping to buy it completed somewhere or easily add the nama claws without cutting either end. I didnt think about taking the wasp off. Thanks for the info.

Just snip a little off the end then tie a simple overhand after you have everything back on. You can always go back and bury the end if you get into the fun side of splicing (it’s addicting!)

I bought almost this exact set up from Little Shop of Hammocks (LSOH). The only difference was Duth Tarp Fly instead of Wasp. James is great to deal with. Note that LSOH is in Canada.

30 feet. I can make them to any length required though.
