I've got the HG mesh on mine. They work well and are one-piece. The skins on my Tadpole tarps are Hennessey two piece. I can't really say one is any better than the other although I'm sure the mesh is lighter, but it's a bit easier to deploy the Hennessey skins from both sides, IMO. I was out last weekend and had a lot of frozen dew on the mesh when I woke up and was afraid the skins would tear when trying to extend them, but I think they came out OK.

I use two piece mesh snake skins. They are easy to make or you can buy them from Dutchware or others. I like snake skins with the little pocket on the tree side where you can store your tarp ridge lines when you put the tarp up.

I have the single mesh skin from SLD with the end pockets and I’m very happy with it. I think I bought the wide size just to make sure it wouldn’t bunch up too much.

My vote is for MountainGoat. She'll make whatever you want (one or two-piece), well made, and fairly priced. Send her some business if you don't want to do the sewing yourself. You won't regret it.

Absolutely! I sold the 2-piece skins immediately after seeing some of the single sleeves in action.

Mine are from MoutainGoat - very happy. I am, however, becoming single skin curious.

I started with HH two-piece skins, and then some other, lighter maker of two-piece, and eventually a SLD one-piece. Never going back!
