    Hello from Estonia

    My name is Indrek.
I have been a hiker for a very long time and a hammock camper about 3 years.

It all started when my sister gave me a Brazilian hammock and I gave it a try. Despite it was summer and I even had a decent 3-season sleeping bag, I still felt surprisingly cold (later I learned why) and the sleeping position was not great either (I am a side sleeper).
It all got me thinking: "What if a hammock would be... like a stretcher, so I could have a horizontal lay on it on a sleeping pad?".

So it happened that I started developing my own new kind of hammock.
Now I'm preparing to launch a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to start making my hammocks in large scale.
The pre launch page is already up and running: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/t...ck/coming_soon

Feel free to subscribe and be hinted in advance about when the campaign goes live.
I'm here to give information and answer your questions about this new hammock.

    Happy hanging

Interesting bridge, especially how you tensioned the suspension system. I'd guess you will be able to get your project funded, and I wish you the best. Looks like it will be light weight. There should be a number of down and synthetic underquilts that will work well with this hammock as an alternative to an inflatable insulated pad.

If everything goes well, then I will offer dedicated bug nets in the future. I have several ideas in mind.
The simplest being a large rectangular bug net with a horizontal zipper and rope holes in the corners. The most complex idea would be transformation of the Treem hammock into a hammock tent.
I will give a sneak peek into the Treem hammock tent concept on Indiegogo campaign page.

Classic bug nets that are made for classic hammocks do not fit. To use one, it has to be sufficiently long and needs some customization. In the best case scenario, 2 extra holes needs to be made for stretching ropes of lower tree hugger straps.

Total weight (including hammock itself, spreader bars, suspension ropes, tree straps and stuff sack) is 1.2 kg (2.7 pounds).

You might want to list the weight without the lower stabilizing suspension because there are plenty of folks who might be willing to leave them at home for backpacking trips because they don’t mind the swing of a bridge hammock. Still, it’s a neat idea. I was scratching my head for a second when you first got into the hammock and noticed it was very stable.

Do you have a weight limit and a comfort rating?

Interesting concept. What is the price point for the whole setup? also what is the weight limit of this setup. It appears similar to the Warbonnet Ridgerunner, but that is rated to 250 lb max weight capacity. Thanks. Just Bill offers his Big Boy Bridge hammock that covers the heavier hangers over 250 lbs.
