Hmmmm. I've been testing my Tensa4 hammock stand on my balcony this past week. Last night, I missed my hammock and sat on the Wooki. The ranger band snapped and I landed on concrete. Glad the Wooki isn't 10D!!

    EDIT:
Three broccoli rubber bands are used until I can find the spare one that Warbonnet shipped with it..

That's sounds like it hurts! Are you glad it's not 10d because you think the 10d would have broken from the weight, or the abrasion on the concrete?

Thankfully, it was a slow motion kind of fall since the ranger band took some of the momentum. I didn't notice any damage to my current Wooki, but I think that 10D fabric would've shown some abrasion.

Just to add to this, I missed my hammock several weeks ago and sat in my 10d Wooki... the rubber band actually slipped out of the carabiner, so it didn’t break, nor did the 10d rip anywhere. I thoroughly inspected the quilt after the trip was over, no holes, rips, tears, nor noticeable abrasions from it hitting the ground with me in it. Granted I could be extremely lucky but I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase 10d fabric in the future. I was in the Linville Gorge Wilderness, NC when this happened, it’s ground is full of rocks, sticks and anything else pokey & sharp you can think of, so it wasn’t as if it hit a soft bed green grass. Be good.

I agree with others, 10D is a good material if you are an ultralight gram counter but if you just like to hike and enjoy your gear get something that is more wear and tear resistant.
