Ok, so we will do all 3 options...add on at time of order, mail in for modification, and the adapter strip

I’ll admit, I’m having trouble following this in practice.

If I were to start from scratch, and purchase in stages - XLC first, then top cover/uqp later - what’s the best path forward to get the benefits of these mod options?

If you don’t have the UQP, it’s best to order it with the mod at the time of ordering the UQP. I don’t see the option on the website yet, so for the moment you need to request it via email.

If you already have the UQP, then it’s best to send it in to have the mod sewn on.

Buying the mod separately is not recommended because it would be heavier and less elegant. They are just leaving the option for the international users who wish to save some money.

You do not need to worry about ordering the XLC separately beforehand. The difference is all in the UQP.

Thanks! It’s helpful to know it’s all in the UQP. I’ll keep my eyes posted for a demo video of how this works in action... hint! (Video or it didn’t happen)

I assume the UQP attaches to the XLC, the top cover then to the UQP through this elegant mod - preserving all the footbox functionality and making ingress/egress simple via a single zipper.

Got it last night. First impression is this thing LOOKS really cool! Especially in the Bushwack Camo fabric and with a Wooki. Works exactly like you’d hope it would. I’ll try to get some nice pics of it at a group hang this weekend.

Yup, lemme know if there is something else you are curious about. The tarp is a MiniFly and the hammock fabric is Dream-Tex Autumn Orange.
