I leave both continuous loops and whoopies on my XLC so I'm set for short and long hangs and my bag holds the straps, toggles as well as all my tarp lines.

I love this setup. Thanks again Jellyfish!!!
I'm so glad that you are loving these as much as I do. This is what I use. I put some dog bones and my tarplines in the outer zip pocket, and I can even stuff my outdoor thermometer in the main compartment with the straps. A place for everything and everything in its place.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Bill townsend's hammocks come with a bishop bag design that has one end of the hammock suspension coming out the corner of the bag. When it is hung, and you pull the bag inside out on the suspension, it makes a nice pouch for extra tent stakes or extra length webbing or daisy chain. To be clear, it is not a bag for storage when carrying, it's a pouch to keep things tidy instead of having extra suspension dangling off the tree. I'd try to do the same thing with my other double ended hammock bags - on one end of the hammock, but I think this angled pouch (because of the hammock cord coming out of the corner, will hold the same better.

Yup, definitely the easiest way to go! Keeps the rest of the hammock nice and clean/dry.

Due to the pine, spruce, fir, and etc pitch I have to keep mine in a separate baggie. Cool idea and entrepreneur stuff from AHE, the sap sack.

I keep mine in a stuff sack along with my stake bag (straps with beetle buckles). I coil the straps, and put them in the bag. Stakes go into a smaller bag inside the strap bag. Keeps the straps clean. This way I know where it all is. I have considered another pocket on tarp bag, but I don’t think I’d like it. I’d definitely never stick it in with my hammock. Too much risk of tree sap transfer.

I’m going to whoopies and huggers for weight I think. I’ll store the same way with whoopie hooks on the slings to attach to my loops.

I don’t hike anymore I just car camp but I keep my suspension in a separate bag. Easier to set up for me with my system.

I much prefer my suspension in the same bag as my hammock. That said, if it’s wet (and I think this is where your question was going) I’d throw it in with my tarp or at least in the same location as my tarp.

I keep everything in a small diy stuff sack that has draw strings on both ends that i feed one of my WS through. Stays on my hammock until packup. Tarp and stakes in their own bags. I connect my whoopie slings to web strapping with a marlin spike hitch and carabiners, sometime play around with diy toggles. Either system fit really compact into the stuff sack. Size of a softball basically.
