I don't know if Thrifty Outfitters at MWM does any repair like this but a phone call is cheap. There's someone around the cities that makes top quilts aimed (primarily) at the ground-sleepers. I just don't recall the name but I believe they make high-end stuff. IF anybody can com up with a name, that might be an option.

I was able to salvage the UQ with a needle and thread. Took my time, was careful and the pic shows the result. Lost a little down but not enough to worry about--I hope. Gonna sleep in it this weekend with forecast of a balmy 26 degrees. Good test temp to prep for next weekend and 16 degree low.

Lord, please bring 20 below this year. I need to know if my sewing job did the job.

If you get out at all, you likely have a similar story. Fortunately, mine involves a tent.

Sorry to hear this happened. Great job with the repair! I put two holes in a fairly new hammock from a screw driver in the back pocket while putting up Christmas lights recently. This was my first DIY hammock and first look at a wide option. This was a sad day for me - can’t imagine what you went through! That’s what I get for mixing work and play (watching football game in between Griswold moments)...

    Stupidest thing done while hammocking:

Step 1. Set up in the rain
Step 2. Share a common tree with a buddy at a 45deg angle between us
Step 3. Forget to double loop the cinch buckles, AND forget to milk the berrys
    Step 4. Enter hammocks simultaneously
Step 5. Bend the tree (and cause a momentary snap-back)
Step 6. Blame each other when the suspensions slip and you BOTH hit the ground

    Wowza!
