I hope you don't mind me adding on to this discussion with a very similar question and experience with the same quilt. My CBS was with a SLD Streamliner though, and I was almost wondering if, with a hammock like that with less material on the sides if it was possible I was getting a draft from the sides? The top edge of the underquilt along the sides was actually higher in some spots than the edge of the hammock while laying in it (that cat cut really reduced the wall of fabric, which is why I wanted one). Or is it more likely that I was simply over-tightening as suggested above?

I have a streamliner, don't think drafts come from the sides. There's a reason why you don't have draft collars on the long sides, besides weight of course. In general, your tarp should block that from the sides. Of course, if you don't have doors it can't block wind from the open ends.

Overtighten - that only applies to the ends where you might be inclined to tighten it around the narrow gathered end of the hammock, and especially so for full length quilts, which is one reason I like a shorter quilt. The suspension of the hammock should be tight enough that it lifts the hammock when you're not in it to ensure that even if you do have the quilt narrowly cinched on the ends, you should still have enough lift to eliminate any gap in the center/bottom.

If you're feeling what seems like a draft, you might not have it tight enough on the suspension. Just let the bungies do their job.
