    Frost bib

Now that cold weather is here does anyone have a template for a basic frost bib. I watched Shug's video and want to try one. I suppose I could just climb in my hammock with a tape measure. What other options should I look at? Not especially cold last night only about 18 degrees I was toasty warm but my top quilt was kind of wet for about a foot. I was using a SLD tree runner with knotty mods under a winter haven tarp.

    Measuring... that's crazy-talk!

I am just about finished with one. I watched Shug's video and I think he said he just cut the front out of a sweatshirt as the base section? With that info I went to my local fabric store and picked up some fleece. I cut the base section to fit across my front like a shirt, then added a small section that tapers to my ridgeline. I plan to add a loop of grosgrain to hook my s-biner to. S-biner will clip to ridgeline. I still need to attach my neck loop too.

I hope the photos below help. I'm all ears for ideas to improve it. I am just learning to sew so please go easy on my technique.

A piece of dollar bin fleece from Wally World and 15 minutes of time and wallah...

    Dimensions really aren't that critical.
    An action shot, kind of...

The beard maybe would have worked as a frost bib.
