    Dutch two way separating zipper

    Hey all,
Does anyone know if the zippers Dutch sells will work with the top cover and bug nets? I’d assume 115”?

    This will work...

Though I use the #3 coil zipper and modify it to be a two way separating zipper.. one half on the hammock the other on the bug net.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

It should work fine. I recently used them on a bugnet and I don’t see why they wouldn’t also work on a top cover. There’s plenty of zipper for it. My only complaint is the zippers are sticky at the ends and it’s difficult to start the zipper. After making one, I’d probably just recommend making one hammock with a bugnet and one with a top cover with a single sided zip. The other zipper and the extra zipper on the one side is heavy.

Thanks. So the 115 will work with the bug net purchased from Dutch? The asym net or top cover? I want to install the zipper to my hammock I made out of Dutches Hexon 1.0 and the buy the pre made bug net or top cover from Dutch ware. Thanks again

Email or message Dutch and ask him to only purchase the hammock side of the zipper. I've done this for myself and three of my buddies. It's not worth my time to make the bug net when I can get it from Dutch for $35 so I just make the hammock with the hammock side of his zipper and don't waste the money on the other half that you won't use. If you email them through the site, make sure to put ATTN Dutch. He'll just have you add a $9 custom charge to your cart and pay with notes in the comments section that you're only buying the hammock half of the zipper.
