Is it just the top cover you need? It is on back order, but the rest of the SS is available. Have you e-mailed or called HH to see how long until they are available?

A couple of months ago I inquired about the top cover. Hennessy advised they were searching for a new manufacturer, and they could not say when they would be available again. However, they did not suggest that it would be a long wait. Hennessy is very good about responding to email inquiries, and they may have more information now...

I'd like to DIY one too. Preferably make it so you take it on and off w/o undoing the suspension lines.

That looks like a good way to go - very simple.

Size it a little bigger than the a-sym diamond of bug netting.

Sew the ends into tubes, maybe just 2" worth.

Run shock cord from corners to wherever you already tied off the hammock.

    Bada bing... bada boom.

Now we just need someone to come up with the pattern so they can be made quickly by anyone with DIY in mind.

What would be a good fabric to use? I think there was something special about that HH top cover fabric? Can't remember what.

I may be thinking of something else, but wasn't theirs actually silnylon with ventilation points?

I would just go for 1.1oz breathable ripstop. Maybe a DWR coating, but that's as water resistant as I'd be comfortable going.
