We at Dutchware have had a great year. There has been an extremely low turnover rate with seeing only two employees depart. Some of our co-workers have been better this year in regards to health problems. We have been able to invest in some continuing education and new equipment. We have introduced new materials and even a new product line. Sales are up and we passed 100,000 orders a few days ago, Whoo Buddy! We have been fortunate enough to embrace new partnerships with 2QZQ, Cedar Ridge, Batch Stoves, Yama, Superior, and others along with our long time friends. I have gotten to spend some time with my good friend Adam from Hammock Gear and did two long bike tours. This has been a good year indeed. Sadly we did have to say good-bye to a good friend Marty from Wilderness Logics.
This time of year between Christmas and New year is a great time to reflect and reset. It slows down a little and the elves get to take a needed break. We get to work on my favorite part of the business, designing and we are working on new products for 2019. Some of our seamstresses are getting to spending time with their families. Indeed we have so much to be thankful for.
From all of us to all of you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's get out more, laugh more, and spend time with those who we cherish the most.
