I'm a side sleeper in bed, but that doesn't work for me at all in a hammock. It took me a while to get used to back sleeping - I hung a hammock in my office and slept in it for a while. Initially, I couldn't sleep an entire night on my back, so I would move to the bed when I woke up to water the bushes. After a few months, I was able to sleep an entire night in the hammock.

    Same for me

I cannot fall asleep on my back in a bed or in a hammock. I have to side sleep regardless of where I am.

That said, I have had no problem side sleeping in my Chameleon. You will need a pillow or something to serve as a pillow, but I suspect with a little bit of trial and error you can figure out a way that works for you. For example, I now know where my downward shoulder needs to be positioned by looking at the tie out loops. I still lay at an angle (head on one side and feet on the other) and sometimes bend my knees and pull my feet up. Don't let people scare you off from a gathered end hammock just because you are a side sleeper. Give it a shot.

I would suggest staying on the stretchier side of fabric. So give Jared a shot with perhaps a Hybrid 1.2 Trail Lair and see how that goes.
Having an adjustable ridgeline helps as playing with the sag of the hammock to either direction of standard can improve your experience.

Some folks will tell you they end up migrating to their back in a hammock, which does happen, but only one way to find out.

If'n that doesn't pan out for you, then shoot me an email. I make bridges for folks who don't have any luck any other way... but always suggest you try the other way first.

Bill, love the video and that hammock is a thing of beauty.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Will be interesting to see how well that works out, and if it makes the back lay any less great than more usual GEs. I don’t like the lay of bridges, for instance, as too cotlike, less dynamic. But flat, yes.

I'd like to look into this SRM flatlay, but can't find info because I don't know what SRM is. Do you have a link, or a full name?
