Hello from West Tennessee (near Memphis, TN)

Hello to all Hammock Forums members. And a big thank you to Attroll for the help with my registration. I have been camping in tents and campers for many years. The past couple of years I have been "car camping" in a tent as a cub scout leader and now my son is a Webelos scout and not sleeping in a tent with his dad anymore. So I have been researching hammocks and would like to make the switch to camping in a hammock. I not only want to start camping in a hammock but also want to start doing overnight hikes with a hammock. I have been reading/learning a lot here and watching many of ya'lls (i am from the south) youtube vids. Shug your vids are one of my favorites and have binge watched most if not all of your videos by now. My wife thinks I have lost my mind. She could be right? Anyways thanks for having me and look forward to read/learning much more.

    Thanks,

    Hangin'Tenn

My son is an AOL and to I needed a new sleep method. I was tired of dragging the tent along. . I am transitioning froCM to Scoutmaster. I just bought a Warbonnet RR and I love it!!! I just need a tarp. I’m worried about getting wet and can’t decide on a cheaper alternative to a cold burst. Any hav e suggestions for a size and alternative?

Welcome to the forum. As you know there is so much info from the members you will always find something to learn and laugh about.
I live in Memphis and do most of my camping in Arkansas. Kayaking, fly fishing, hiking no matter which itch I scratch I’m always in a hammock.
Let me know if there anything I can do to make your hammocking in our part of the world more enjoyable.

Welcome - If there is anything I can do to help you, let me know. Scoutmaster for a troop in Cordova. We have several leaders and boys in our troop that use hammocks.
